QUESTA, N.M. – The Questa Independent Schools District has a new superintendent, which is nothing new for the area in recent months.

According to a Taos News report, Leanne Salazar is the fourth person to serve in the role this year alone, replacing David Albert who was put on administrative leave earlier in March.

It's unclear why Albert was placed on leave or if he will return.

This isn't the first time Salazar has been called in to replace another superintendent. In 2016, she replaced former Mora Superintendent Charles Trujillo after he was arrested and accused of falsifying his credentials.

Salazar resigned from that position in Mora just three months after taking the job.
