Roswell movie theater scheduled to reopen April 16

ROSWELL, N.M.- Allen Theaters has released a tentative reopening schedule for movie theaters across the state.

Galaxy 8 is scheduled to reopen in Roswell on April 16.

Show times will be an hour apart to allow time for disinfecting the auditoriums. Ticketing systems will automatically block off seats to the left and right of purchased seats for social distancing. And there will be no self-serve concession stations.

The changes are part of the Cinema Safe protocols, released by the National Association of Theater Owners.

In Chaves County, capacity will also be at 33%, under the Turquoise guidelines.

Along with those guidelines, masks will be required inside. People are also encouraged to use mobile ticketing to reduce the need to stand in line.
