Black Cock opened Nov. 4.

CV Harris, who owns Black Cock Brewing Company, said there was a need for a brewery in Roswell.

“Not only are we bringing jobs to the Roswell area, we're also bringing an income to the local area,” Harris said. “Rather than importing beer from outside the state, we're manufacturing it here.”

Harris believes the brewery brings something different to the city.

"It's a different atmosphere than a lot of your larger bars,” Harris said.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the brewery on Dec. 21. It will be followed by a customer celebration event.
