According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, there are nearly 200 nursing positions available between Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and the newcomer to Santa Fe, Presbyterian Healthcare services.

Presbyterian is set to open this October and has 75 positions to fill, which is a little less than half of what is planned to have when it opens. Presbyterian’s chief nursing officer, Terri Marney told the New Mexican those positions are difficult to fill because of the training involved.

Christus St. Vincent pays entry-level nurses $59,000 annually with Presbyterian close to that at $60,860.

Presbyterian is holding a job fair for clinical positions at the new Santa Fe medical center. It will be held at the Inn at Santa Fe at 8376 Cerrillos Road. It will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on May 29.
