ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The city of Santa Fe recently announced a new plan for the former Santa Fe University of Art and Design.

A new report released on Thursday outlines possibilities for the campus and surrounding land which equals about 64 acres.

As KOB previously reported, the city bought the property in 2009 and will lose more than $2 million a year until 2036 unless it can find a way for the buildings and land to make money.

According to the report, officials are considering five options: higher education, housing, film and emerging media, arts and creativity and new business and innovation.

Santa Fe leaders will consider adopting the report and guidelines during a city council meeting July 25.
