Shoplifter arrested outside Farmington Walmart

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- A Farmington man is accused of driving an electric cart around Walmart while drinking alcohol and shoplifting.

“According to reports from Walmart, there was a male that was riding around on one of the electric scooters, drinking an open container of beer and he already had an empty container of beer inside the cart as well,” said Lt. Casey Malone, spokesperson for the Farmington Police Department.

Malone said Tommy Singer brandished a knife and threatened the loss prevention employees before leaving the store.

He was arrested outside by police officers.
