RUIDOSO, N.M. – Snow is once again falling near Ruidoso, an area that's already seen plenty of snow from recent snowstorms and some people couldn't be happier.
The Rosalez family traveled from El Paso to bask in the excitement.
"We've been here since yesterday, plan on staying for the rest of the night. Maybe the rest of the week, we'll see how it goes, but we're here to enjoy the snow and the rest of the weather," Said Randy Rosalez.
Ken Marlatt, the director of operations at Ski Apache is still in awe of the 60 inch base of snow the resort has seen so far. It's more snow than any other ski area in New Mexico.
"The last snow fall gave us over 2 1/2 to 3 feet of snow. Unbelievable. The most snow they had here in over 10 years," Said Marlatt.
They are ready for whatever amount of snow may come their way. Some parts of southeast New Mexico are expecting at least 3 to 5 inches of snow tonight.
"It's certainly incredible, it coming all at once and, the amount of people coming in to enjoy it has been certainly significantly higher than anyone's ever seen before," Said Marlatt.
