The Bernalillo County Fire Department and Albuquerque Fire Department wildland crews responded to the blaze in the afternoon hours.

The fire did not threaten the Bosque and no homes were at risk, according to the Isleta Pueblo dispatch.

Meanwhile, a large smoke plume seen in the Santa Fe watershed is a prescribed burn. Santa Fe National Forest officials say the burn is three miles east of Santa Fe between the Nichols and McClure Reservoirs.
