It happened on State Road 128 just east of Jal.

According to police, the initial investigation shows a truck, for unknown reasons, crossed the center line of the road crashing head-on into a semi. Both vehicles then caught fire.

Police say all four people in the truck were killed. They have been identified as Enrique Leon, 58, Arturo Barboza, 22, Alonso Hernandez, 28, and Justin Brown, 25.

The driver of the semi, 27-year-old Rayshawda Riley, was also killed.

New Mexico State Police's Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
