ROSWELL, N.M. — A man was caught on camera stealing pricey items, including a generator worth over $3,000 from Do-Right Roofing in Roswell.

"We're not too happy. We're tired of getting stolen from, we're tired of windows getting broken out. We're just tired of it,” said Do-Right Roofing’s Office Manager Stephanie Tyler-Guerin.

Guerin said this is the second time in two years thieves have stolen from their family-owned company.

"We work our butts off to have what we have, and for other people to come in and just take from us?” Guerin said.

Guerin’s brother, Seth Vannote, said he spotted the car from the surveillance video the next day. So, he followed it from a distance.

"Once I shared the address with my dad, he went right over there and talked to the woman, who claimed that she loaned her car to some guy,” Vannote said. “She didn't share no more of his information, so it's very strange to find out she loaned her car to someone, and he brought it here to thief from us."

However, Vannote said the confrontation became awkward.

"She didn't tell us who she was, and she said she didn't know him too well,” Vannote said.

The case still remains open.

In the meantime, people who recognize the man in the video are encouraged to call the Roswell Police Department at (575) 624-6770.
