September 26, 2019 09:47 PM

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Twenty-two veterans who went unclaimed after their deaths were laid to rest in Santa Fe Thursday.

All 22 veterans were given full military honors.

“They deserve to be honored for the service that they provided to our country,” said Lt. Gov. Howie Morales, who spoke at the ceremony.

The only thing known about the veterans is their name, rank and serial numbers from when they served the country.
