COLFAX CO., N.M. - Fire crews continue to gain ground on the Ute Park fire, burning between Eagle Nest and Cimarron.


The fire is now 30 percent contained. It has scored about 36,800 acres. Fire officials say they focused on isolated flair-ups Tuesday.

The community of Ute Park remains under evacuation orders as firefighters clear brush along Highway 64.

Eagle Nest Lake State Park is now open to boating.
