Veterans to be honored in SE New Mexico

ROSWELL, N.M. - Southeast New Mexico will honor veterans with several different events.

The American Legion Post #28 in Roswell is throwing their very first Veterans Day parade.

The dean of academics at New Mexico Military Institute, General Murray, will be an honorary guest speaker. The parade starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at Chaves County Courthouse Square.

Alamogordo, Portales and Clovis are also having similar events this weekend.

The New Mexico Museum of Space History has free admission for veterans, active duty and national guard.

Clovis Veterans Memorial is serving a Veterans Day Pancake breakfast and Eastern New Mexico University is having a Veterans Day celebration  November 12.
