Pay It 4ward: Yoga instructor recognized for creating space of rest, healing

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Most Monday nights you can find Kim Linder at Mi Vida Yoga on Juan Tabo following yoga instructor Stephanie Cornelius.

The two met playing soccer. She remembers when Cornelius fell in love with yoga.

“Watching everything she went through, she’s just, I’m going to cry now. Such a strong woman and so giving of herself,” said Linder.

Cornelius was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.

“Everyone on the soccer team was devastated to hear that, and you can imagine her, she had young kids,” Linder said.

Before she was finished with her traumatic journey, Kim says she was already thinking of others.

“So she took her passion for yoga, the experiences she had as a nurse going through cancer and put that together,” Linder said.

That’s how you get Pink Prana. It’s a class designed for breast cancer survivors, supporters, and women who need each other.

So, it was time to Pay It 4ward.
