Tackling voter fraud: AG's office to have agents at polling locations

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas is teaming up with Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver in a joint effort to prevent voter fraud during today’s primary election.

Special agents and assistant attorneys general will be out at polling locations to “ensure proper conduct, and prevent voter fraud.”

“I’m determined to protect the integrity of every single vote,” said Secretary of State Toulouse Oliver. “My staff and I will continue working closely with the Attorney General’s office to protect voters’ rights and to make sure any potential improper conduct on Election Day is thoroughly investigated.”

Agents will be scattered throughout Bernalillo, Dona Ana, Eddy, Grant, Luna, McKinley, Otero, Rio Arriba, Sandoval, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Taos, Torrance and Valencia Counties.
