Boy Scouts of America open ranks to girls

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Boy Scouts of America is welcoming girls to the organization.


The new Scouts BSA program will allow girls from age 11-17 a path to earn the highest rank of Eagle Scout.

A welcome and opening flag ceremony will be held in Albuquerque Friday at the Grace United Methodist Church.

The event begins at 5 p.m.
