The Manzano Monarchs have separated themselves apart from everyone as the team to beat in class 6A.  The Monarchs followed up their win over #2 La Cueva with a solid road victory at Clovis.

Every coach will tell you they don't look ahead, but it's tough to imagine both Los Lunas and Belen aren't looking forward to their showdown at the end of the regular season.  I personally would prefer a Friday night kickoff, but this matchup will be a Saturday game.

Escalante was delayed a couple hours getting to Santa Fe for their Friday game.  A terrible car accident along the highway prevented their bus from getting to Santa Fe in time for the scheduled kickoff, but credit Escalante for wanting to still play the Demons.  Better late than never was their motto.

One 6A team no coach will want to face in the postseason is Cleveland.  The Storm have wins over Rio Rancho and Artesia on their resume and they're coming off a 63 point performance.

While the southern 6A district is having a down year with Mayfield underperforming, Las Cruces seems to be on the right track down the home stretch of the season.

Manzano vs Eldorado: Both teams are locks for the postseason, but can the Monarchs keep their win streak going this year?

Centennial vs Las Cruces: The Hawks took down rival Mayfield last week, can they make it 2-2 against traditional southern powers?

Artesia at Roswell:  The Coyotes posted a shutout last week.  This appears to be a postseason preview.

Farmington at Aztec: Both these teams are coming off 40+ point performances. This matchup is sure to draw a good crowd in the Four Corners.

Cleveland at Piedra Vista:  The Storm will take their high scoring show on the road for another district battle.
