The Lobos, now 1-0, will face off against the Iona Gaels. The team is entering the match-up with one regular season win under their belt after narrowing beating out California State Northridge with a game-winning 3 point shot at the buzzer made by senior Anthony Mathis.

Iona, also 1-0, are returning with only two players from last season’s MAAC Championship team that advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Lobos and the Gaels have only played each other once in program history, in 1949, when UNM traveled to New York.

Iona won that game, 61-56.

Tip-off for tonight's game is set for 7 p.m. at The Pit. The game will be carried on the Mountain West Network.
