ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Story Time in the Park, an annual reading program sponsored by Albuquerque Public Schools Title I Family Engagement, will run June 8 through July 16. Along with a grab and go lunch, students can get a book bag of quality children’s literature, reading strategies, lesson ideas, and parent tip-sheets for family reading at home.

The aim of Story Time in the Park is to support families so they can guide their children toward reading proficiency and a life-long joy of reading. Research shows that young children who have access to books in the home, and who are read aloud to regularly, have the best chance of becoming successful readers.
