CES 2025: Eureka Park | What the Tech?

CES: Eureka Park | What the Tech?

Here is a look some new and innovative ideas launching to the world through Eureka Park at the Consumer Electronics Show this year in Las Vegas.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (WHAT THE TECH?) — The 2025 Consumer Electronics Show – CES – wrapped up over the weekend in Las Vegas with many showcasing their new products.

Eureka Park is primarily made up of startups, entrepreneurs, and universities. It is where, in many cases, innovation begins. Many products are so early in the process that they don’t even have a name for it. The only thing they have is a premise, or an idea.

For example, there was a dishwasher on display that takes just five seconds to do a small load.

“Our target audience is for people who live in smaller apartments,” a representative said.

Samsung, LG and Hyundai are here to invest in ideas to accelerate their growth and launch. Many others are here for feedback and seed money.

One of them is Jennie, the name of a fully interactive robotic support animal.

Tombot is the most realistic robotic dog I’ve ever seen. She responds exactly how puppies react to a familiar voice, scratches behind her ear and recognizes her name when you say it.

Once the inventor had the idea, he asked seniors what they wanted.

“They wanted puppies and they wanted realistic puppies and that is what we set out to design.”

Producing Jennie demands lots of money, so they’re actively seeking investors.

There are companies with snowboard video game controls, VR exercise equipment and a waterless toilet.

Last year, Augmental came to CES with MouthPad. It is a tongue-controlled mousepad or cursor for people with mobility issues who can’t use their hands. Launching at CES last year, the small team got $4 million in seed capital.

“We were a week and a half from bankruptcy mainly from CES so I have to say it was amazing.”

For many of these companies, the real work starts when CES ends. They’ll return home with the information they’ve gathered about their products, meet with potential investors and hopefully will return next year with a product ready to release to consumers.
