Here are some gadgets to protect your home.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (WHAT THE TECH?) — Here are a few pieces of technology that are not only good to make your home more convenient but also to better protect it.

The Glomensio Firefly is a smart light of address numbers. It’s the first of its kind and the target of the product is to help people find your house.

The numbers are standard during the day and illuminate in the dark. Dial 911, and it automatically begins flashing blue and red.

And it isn’t just for emergencies.

“If you are placing an Uber Eats order or rideshare, what we have done is it flashes green for those moments.”

The Flowstop is an inflatable protective barrier for homes when there’s a flooding danger. It’s light but sturdy. Richard Aulio recorded this video during Hurricane Helene.

All of my neighbors lost everything. Cars, furniture, everything. Myself, I saved my house. Blocking several feet of water from entering his garage.

And the Hyve is a smart delivery locker to protect packages from porch pirates. It secures to a gate or front entryway and generates a unique code for any vendor.

“And you hit the copy and paste button and open your amazon app and paste it into your special delivery instructions and it’s going to leave a note that says please leave my packages in my Hyve using code dahahdah. And you open it with your phone when you get home.

It might be overkill for some of us, but if package theft is a continuing problem, the Hyve package pod will be released in June for $300.
