Police investigate report of bomb threat in Gallup

GALLUP, N.M. — Police say they’re investigating a report of a bomb threat Tuesday morning at the New Mexico Probation Office in Gallup.

According to the Gallup Police Department, officers responded Tuesday around 10:20 a.m. to the report. They evacuated the area and waited on the New Mexico State Police Bomb Unit to further address the threat.

Police are asking the public to stay away until the area has been declared safe. If you need to travel in this area, seek a different route.

An investigation is still ongoing.
