Brandon Ortega

Brandon Ortega is the host of New Mexico Gameday and a sports anchor. He joined KOB 4 in April 2018.

Before calling Albuquerque home, Brandon worked at KRGV in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley. He also worked at KTXS in Abilene. While in Texas, Brandon won an AP Award for his reporting.

When Brandon isn’t watching or reporting on sports, he spends time playing the drums, guitar and bass.

Brandon is also a big family man. He loves spending time with his son Julian, who he calls the cutest kid in the world.

A native of southern California, Brandon says he’s excited to explore everything New Mexico has to offer.
