Alford has the campers taking part in drills, while passing on knowledge he learned in New Mexico and at UCLA.

“You just learn different things at camps,” Alford said.

Alford, the son of former UNM men's basketball coach Steve Alford, believes one of the most important lessons he can teach his campers is to have fun.
