Cleveland HS names Robert Garza head coach of Storm football

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Cleveland High School has named Robert Garza their new head football coach.

He will take over after 12 years as an assistant at Cleveland. Garza has worked with Storm football and baseball since 2009.

He’s held just about every position with the Storm defense and special teams.

In 2019, University Sports Publications named Garza Assistant Coach of the Year.

Garza will be taking over for Heath Ridenour, who is stepping down to join the offensive staff at UNM.
