ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Cleveland Storm is back on the practice field. The defending state champions have been sitting idle since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

The Storm set up various stations so the players could practice social distancing.

Head coach Heath Ridenour says it was great being around the kids for the first time in almost four months.

"You don't get in this business to stay away from people and get away from kids," Ridenour said. "You want to be close to them you want to love on them a little bit, so it's definitely physically a different thing. But it was awesome to get out there and just to be around them and see them. It is good for your soul and your heart to get out here and I think it was good for the kids."
