Clovis football begins full-contact practice

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Clovis Wildcats have started full-contact practice.

The team is looking for a new quarterback after Chance Harris enrolled early at Colorado State.

The team will have other weapons, including Lobo commits Jaden Phillips, Jeston Webskowski and Ernesto Acuna.

Call Fullertom said his players are excited for the season.

"A kid told me yesterday, ‘Coach, this is the happiest I’ve been in over a year," he said. ""And I said, ‘Why is that,’ and he said, ‘Just being back on the field in a real atmosphere, you know? I didn’t think we were gonna get to play, and now we got a chance to, and we’ve got helmets’"
