Del Norte hosts youth basketball camp

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- More than 100 kids took the court at Del Norte High School this week.

The state champs hosted a week-long camp, teaching fundamentals of the game.

"It’s been really fun, honestly. It’s really run to get to know kids I’ve never met before," said Joshua Tellez. "Some, they come back and remember me from my past years. Before I even started high school, I never coached a team before and a few weeks ago, I coached the freshmen squad, and now I’m coaching the little kids and I really enjoy it. It’s fun just to coach and handle it."

The camp wraps up Friday.
