Hayden Walker named NM Gatorade Player of the Year

ALBUQUREQUE, N.M. — The awards are rolling in for St. Pius junior Hayden Walker. He was named the New Mexico Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year

The left-handed pitcher not only led the Sartans to the state championship, but he threw a no-hitter against Belen. Overall, the Sartans were 24-5 while Walker was 9-1 with an 0.48 ERA. 

His opponents had a .090 batting average against him. 

Walker also had 94 strikeouts in 58 innings pitched. He even maintained a 3.46 GPA in the classroom.
