ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Sandia Matadors have Danny Brown as their new head basketball coach.

Brown has served as Highland's head coach and was an assistant coach at Sandia last season.

He said he is grateful for the chance to coach the Matadors, but that the team is young and will need to be coached up.

"I might not be the smartest guy in the world getting back into this," Brown said. "It's really the only thing that I know and know how to do and I might not be very good at it but it's something that I definitely enjoy."
