ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Rio Rancho Rams are returning with 15 seniors after coming off a 4-7 season where they lost in the first round of the state playoffs.

Senior quarterback Isaiah Chavez is leading the offense after putting some big numbers on the scoreboard last year. Chavez said he thinks the Rams will still be able to maintain their focus.

"The last weeks has been good—our team has been training really hard you know I think our focus is there from where it was last year so I mean it's been a different feel and I think it's really good,” Chavez said.

The Rams will face off against Eldorado this Thursday. Rio Rancho head football coach David Howes said he thinks the team is prepared to hit the ground running.

"These kids are ready to play somebody else and get after it so I'm excited to see what we put on the field,” Howes said.
