ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The St. Pius Sartans will take the field when they play host to the Goddard Rockets.

The Sartans are always competitive but they are still looking to recreate the magic that took them to the state title in 2016.

The Sartans will need some underclassmen to step up with only three players returning on the defensive side of the ball, and eight starters total.

"I think the biggest thing is just the amount of work you have to put in to kind of get where you were wanting to go," said head coach David Montoya. "I think that was the biggest thing for our team – just coming back and working harder in the off-season and putting in a little bit more effort."
