ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The high school state soccer championships wrapped up Saturday.

In the 5A boys category, Rio Rancho and Albuquerque High School went head-to-head.

Rio Rancho’s Lamar Bynum scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minutes.

The Rams shut out the Bulldogs 1-0 and snagged their first state title in program history.

In the 4A girls final, Hope Christian faced St. Pius.

The Huskies had a break off the top when Hannah Gutierrez sent a rocket into the goal.

The Sartans responded with two goals, making them the state champs.

The final score was 2-1.
