ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The top high school basketball player in the state plans to leave school early to join the Lobos.
Santa Fe's JB White intends to graduate over the summer and enroll early at UNM.
The Santa Fe New Mexican was the first to report the news.
White committed to the Lobos back in October for the 2021 class.
According to sources, White needs three more credits to earn his diploma.
As of right now, the Lobos have no scholarships open for the 2020 season.
White's mother, Jude Voss posted the following statement on Twitter about her son's early enrollment.
Let’s go @JB_White_. Man what an overwhelming support I am receiving from lobo fans that I don’t even know that well. Friends that love JB. Friends that love me. Thanks for all your support. Time to put the past behind and move forward. Good things to come. We love you. ???????? https://t.co/EfLIpELkR2— Jude Voss (@jude_vossnm) May 23, 2020
