ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Lining up for Eldorado football means everything to Keith Alvarado.

He is a big presence—a block machine on the offensive line and a playmaker on the D-line.

Alvarado is in an exclusive club for the Eagles. He is one of two players to ever play on varsity all four years.

The other former Eagle great is Pittsburgh Steeler Zach Gentry.

"Pretty big shoes to fill and just to be considered in that category is very humbling and, you know, worked a great deal to get there it was just a big accomplishment for me to be able to do it for the last four years,” Alvarado said.

“The way he handles himself, conducts himself on campus and in school and stuff like that, you know he's a very quiet kid that likes to keep to himself,” said Eldorado head football coach Charlie Dotson.

Alvarado is a proud Eagle through and through.

“We go down to a nursing home and we'll play board games and such with the seniors and just working on things greater than ourselves and just benefiting the community as a whole and that's something we've been taught here is to be a bigger person than yourself here at Eldorado,” he said.
