NMSU coach praises Lobo player JaQuan Lyle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Lobos snapped their five-game losing streak to the Aggies.

UNM held off the Aggies, 78-77, in Las Cruces Thursday.

“They are a great basketball team,” UNM Coach Paul Weir said. “Chris Jans is an amazing coach. They played their hearts out.”

JaQuan Lyle had 24 points to lead all scorers.

“JaQuan Lyle is going to be a problem for most teams he plays all year long,” Jans said. “He's got a brilliant skillset.

UNM will look to carry their momentum into their game against Auburn on Monday.
