Rio Rancho's Noah Brewer receives major baseball honor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Rio Rancho's Noah Brewer was named the Gatorade New Mexico High School Baseball Player of the year.

"It's awesome. I've met a lot of the guys that have won it in the past-- like Jared Mang from Los Alamos, and it's an honor to be in the same boat as those guys," he said. "Hayden from last year."

He finished his career with the Ram with a .465 bating average.

He is considered one of the top college prospects in New Mexico. 

Perfect Game ranked Brewer the No. 1 third baseman in the state.

Brewer graduated with a 3.94 GPA.
