ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Six athletes from Sandia High School signed letters of intent to play college sports.

Kaelyn Fenstermacher was among the group.

She reached the state meet every year. She was also a part of the 4x200 meter relay team that broke a state record.

Kaelyn is excited to be competing at the next level.

“I'm excited to continue my academic and athletic career at New Mexico State,” she said. “I love track and field and it's my passion."

The five other Sandia athletes who signed letters of intent include:

Elijah Ferguson - Olive Harvey College (Basketball)

Mikayla Whitmore - New Mexico Highlands (Soccer)

Arianna Lumanog - Cowley College (Tennis)

Carena Harrison - Adams State (Soccer)

Talyn Perez - Northwest Tech (Wrestling)
