The Sandia Matadors hit the field, and they have a new head coach.

Chad Adcox who won a state championship at Manzano is the new man with the Matadors.

He has been impressed with the effort of his young team and thinks that will pay off in the fall.

"They're here to work and get better and that's all I ask them to do," Adcox said. "The only thing I found is that they really want to work, we got a lot of talent here, and I think we're going to get out and get to work and hopefully be able to make some good things happen for Sandia football."
