West Mesa hoping to build on success of last season

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The West Mesa girls basketball coach is coming off their first state championship in program history.

Seven seniors are back with a mix new faces.

The Mustangs return their up-tempo style, and hope it leads to another deep playoff run.

“Off of a state championship and we have a lot to be accountable for,” Emily Burk. “We have to do our best because we did great last year and I'm excited for what this year holds."
