The trinkets in the shop were given to Christina by thankful veterans.

She’s been known to give people haircuts for free.

“Mostly veterans, mostly homeless. Honestly, anyone who needs help,” said Roger Baca, who has been going to the shop for about six months.

He wanted to Pay it 4ward to Christina.

“I'm nervous becuase I've been lying to her for two days,” Baca said.

He told her that he was going to take her green chile, not $400.

“I nominated you for a pay it 4ward about two months ago because of the way you are. You help veterans, you help everybody,” Baca told Christina. “I know that everything you do, you do out of your own pocket.”

Christina said she wasn’t expecting Baca hand her $400.

“Maybe I can pay it forward to somebody else that needs it,” Christina said. “It really means a lot.”
