Pay it 4ward: Shelter rescues unwanted ferrets

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – There are many shelters for cats and dogs in New Mexico but there’s only one shelter for another lovable pet, ferrets.

King’s Ferret Rescue in Los Ranchos takes in ferrets that have been abandoned or surrendered. The shelter houses more than 40 ferrets.

In this week’s segment of Pay It 4ward, Casey Torres teams up with nominator, Alayna Ondrusek, to deliver a much need $400 to the owner of the shelter.
