EL PASO, TX- The El Paso Coliseum began to fill up with people who want to see Pres. Trump speak Monday night.

"Finish the Wall" banners hung from the rafters, above the stage.

President Trump wants to convince people that a wall is necessary for the safety of the country.

Two attendees who spoke with KOB 4's Chris Ramirez said they showed up because they felt seeing the president is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"It's not every day that you get to see the president of the United States, especially in your own hometown," the attendee said.

The other attendee echoed that sentiment, however, he added that he was not a Trump supporter.

"I, personally, don't support the president. I don't believe a wall should be completed or whatever, but I think everyone who's from around here should take the opportunity to see the president," said the attendee.

The president is expected to take the state at 7 p.m.
