Gov.-elect Lujan Grisham announces more cabinet appointments

SANTA FE, N.M.- Governor-elect Michelle Lujan Grisham announced her picks to lead three different state agencies.


Department of Workforce Solutions

Bill McCamley has been tapped to lead the Department of Workforce Solutions. McCamley has served the Las Cruces area as a state representative since 2012. Lujan Grisham touts his work as the chairman of the House Labor and Economic Development Committee.

Department of Aging and Long-Term Services

Alice Liu McCoy will lead the Department of Aging and Long-Term Services. She is an attorney at Disability Rights New Mexico, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect, promote and expand the rights of persons with disabilities

Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management

Jackie White will run the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. White is the captain of homeland security and emergency management of the Albuquerque Fire Department. Lujan Grisham said White has managed emergency response for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and other city-sponsored special events.

Other Departments

Lujan Grisham has now appointed six out of her 26 cabinet secretaries. She expects to have all of the positions filled by the time she takes office January 1.
