ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— A group in Albuquerque wants to bring Republicans and Democrats together.

“We need to be courageous and talk with each other and listen and understand rather than trying to persuade and debate,” said Syd DiChiara. “Better Angels wants to depolarize the political conversation.”

The group will meet for a workshop on Saturday at Nex+Gen Academy.

Seven Republicans and seven Democrats will talk through issues with the help of a moderator.

“The moderators set a tone of being respectful, being civil and listening,” DiChiara said.

The goal is to find common ground.
