ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— A polling company has corrected a survey it conducted in the race for U.S. Senate in New Mexico.

The Libertarian Party said in the Carroll Strategies poll, candidate Gary Johnson's name was replaced with someone else’s name.

Carroll Strategies admitted to the error and conducted a new poll with the correct names Thursday night.

The poll has Democratic incumbent Martin Heinrich in the lead with 50.7 percent.

Republican Mick Rich is in second with 37.9 percent.

Johnson is trailing, in third, with 8.4 percent. That’s 1 percent high than Johnson received in the poll where an error was made.

Nearly 3 percent of voters said they were still undecided.

The poll surveyed more than 1,200 likely New Mexico voters on landline telephones.
