KOB projects Lujan Grisham will beat Jeff Apodaca and Joseph Cervantes. She will take on Republican Congressman Steve Pearce in November.

Supporters of Lujan Grisham's campaign said Tuesday night they were optimistic she has enough steam to face her GOP opponent. Campaign finance records reveal her campaign for governor spent $1.2 million before the primary while collecting $1.4 in contributions.

Pearce, meanwhile, has only spent $440,000.

Lujan Grisham has been serving in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2013. Before that, she served as the Secretary of Health of New Mexico and as a commissioner on the Bernalillo County Commission.

"I'm the only one who is going to be in the general election who has run a business and competed with huge international firms and have created jobs," Pearce said.

He has set aside nearly $2.1 million to focus on the November election.
