Isotopes hold off Bees, improve to 6-6

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Albuquerque Isotopes evened its record to 6-6 on the year when they held off the Salt Lake Bees 12-11 Monday.

Albuquerque ended a four-game losing skid with the win, the last game in its first homestand of the year.

The Isotopes withstood a Salt Lake comeback attempt in the ninth inning. They held a 12-8 lead heading into the inning and held the Bees to only three runs. Albuquerque native Austin House got a one-pitch save.

Tom Murphy hit three doubles while Anthony Phillips had two bases hits. In the team's six wins, the Isotopes have brought home at least seven runs.

Albuquerque will play four games at Tacoma then heads to Salt Lake for a three-game series.
