ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM women’s basketball team has been a force inside.
Along with Jaisa Nunn, Antonia Anderson and Nike McClure are cleaning up inside.
On Saturday, Anderson had a season-high 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Anderson has come off the bench in every game this season, often Mike Bradbury's first substitute.
"My coaches talk to me all the time, just being confident on the court so coming off the bench isn’t a big deal to me,” Anderson said. “I give Nike and Jaisa a break."
Nike McClure leads the team in blocks. And on Saturday, she hit all seven of her shots, scoring 14 points.
“I can’t control if I’m going to score but I can control my effort on defense and energy I bring on that end of the court,” McClure said.
The senior's energy and passion on the floor has made her a fan favorite.
“I’m having the time of my life,” McClure said. “This is an experience that not many people get to experience in their lifetime and got to make the best of it every day.”
