ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The first Mariachis de Nuevo Mexico game in May set an attendance record for Isotopes Park, but fans may have even more incentive to buy a ticket to the team's second promotional transformation on Tuesday.

According to team officials, Major League veteran Jeff Samardzija will toe the rubber for the visiting Sacramento River Cats on a rehab assignment before rejoining the San Francisco Giants at the major league level. He's slated to throw around 70 pitches.

Samardzija was an MLB All-Star with the Chicago Cubs in 2014, a season he finished with a 2.99 ERA between Chicago and Oakland. He's pitched for the Cubs, Athletics, Chicago White Sox and now the Giants over an 11-year career.

Tuesday's game, slated to start at 6:35 p.m., will also feature $5 taco specials at Isotopes Park. Tickets for the game can be purchased here
